30+ Years - Full Time Planned Giving Officer and Consultant (1970 - Present)

1.  15 Years - United Presbyterian Foundation [Now Presbyterian Church (USA) Foundation]

    a.  Resourced 14 full time field staff in developing from $7 - 17 million in planned gifts annually.
    b.  Trained and supervised 10 office staff who processed and administered all planned gifts.
    c.  Helped to develop & supervised staff processing of 250+ life income gifts a year. (1970-1985)
    d.  Developed from $350,000 to $1 million in planned gifts by mail each year.
    e.  Administered $20 million Gift Annuity Fund with over 2,000 annuitants (3,000 agreements).
    f.   Administered $5 million in Pooled Income Funds with over 400 participants.
    g.  Administered over $100 million in Endowment Funds for thousands of church causes.
    h.  Administered over $20 million in temporary investment accounts for 400+ local churches.
    i.   Helped raise and process $7 - $17 million annually in new irrevocable planned gifts.

2.  5 Years - National Director of Gift Planning - American Lung Association (1985-1990)

    a.  Raised bequest income actually received annually from $3.6 million to $8.8 million in five years.
    b.  Increased participation in Gift Annuity and Pooled Income Funds from $150,000 to $1.8 million (a ten fold increase) in five years.
    c.  Hired, developed and trained 14 full and part time planned giving field staff.
    d.  Created ten (10) new planned giving brochures for use by over 100 local chapter offices.
    e.  Developed Planned Giving Newsletter (3 issues/yr - 200,000 copies per issue) for 90 offices.
    f.   Developed Deferred Giving Donor Recognition Club for use by over 100 local offices.
    g.  Developed lapel pin and personalized gifts for local office to give Recognition Club member.
    h.  First user of demographic overlays on large national charity donor list (12 million names) to identify planned giving prospects (with age and income data), used with giving history data.

3. 15 Years Planned Giving Consultant ( 5 years part time and 10 years full time). (1985-2000)
